JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – NEDBANK, one of South Africa’s bigger financial institutions, has expanded its footprint in Gauteng with the addition of a new ‘Branch of the Future’ to its network.

The facility has opened at the Mall of the South, in Aspen Hills, Johannesburg as part of the bank’s commitment to making banking more accessible to all in South Africa.

The Mall of the South ‘Branch of the Future’ will offer innovative features such as video banking facilities, state-of-the-art cash-depositing ATMs, contact centre phones, as well as internet banking
facilities, with Wi-Fi, internet stations for the convenience of clients waiting for various services.

It will offer personal and business banking offerings in keeping with the bank’s client centred approach, aimed at delivering a choice of distinctive experiences and channels, enabled through state of the art technology.

“We are delighted to grow the Nedbank footprint in Gauteng to cater for the need for banking services in the province. We believe our fast growing presence will go a long way in enabling greater financial inclusion while contributing towards economic growth and social development in several communities,” said Dave Schwegmann, Nedbank’s Managing Executive: Branch Network.

In keeping with its values of giving back to communities, Nedbank will be conducting a series of consumer education and sustainability workshops in Gauteng, to share financial fitness principles and create awareness on preserving the environment.

A vegetable tunnel has been donated to the Boithuto Community Project within the informal settlement of Jacksonville, and the young soccer Hamworthy united from the informal settlement of Jacksonville, will receive a soccer kit for their team.
