barsDURBAN, (CAJ News) – SIX suspects will on Monday appear in court in connection with some murder cases and vehicle theft in KwaMashu, KwaZulu-Natal Province.

Police said in one of the cases, they were called to attend to a murder complaint at Simama Clinic, KwaMashu on New Year’s Eve, when a man was found dead with assault and stab wounds.

The motive for the killing is still unknown to the police.

After receiving information about the whereabouts of the suspects, an intelligence driven operation was conducted on Thursday evening, leading to the arrest of the suspects in Eshowe area where they were said to be hiding.

They were linked to two murder cases as well as theft of motor vehicle.

The arrested suspects will appear in the Ntuzuma Magistrate’s Court.

Provincial Commissioner of KwaZulu-Natal, Lieutenant General Mmamonnye Ngobeni, said police would investigate if the suspects were not linked to other crimes in and around KwaMashu area.

“I appeal to the community that they must expose these criminals to the police and not hide them. We always welcome any information given to us by the community about the whereabouts of criminals,” she said.
