EditorEDITOR’S NOTE
Welcome to our eagerly-anticipated print version of Gauteng Guardian, the first provincial publication in the country’s economic hub.
The latest entrant in the country’s media space, we aim to be premier voice of Gauteng Province with Pan-African views on business, investment, infrastructure, development, technology, political, education, health, entertainment and sport.
Published by African Press Association (APA), the weekly publication brings deeper understanding to Gauteng’s possibilities and prevailing difficulties. It challenges conventional views, explores the future of the province, and use new tools to give voice to perspectives that inspire growth and development.
Providing coverage mainly to Johannesburg, Tshwane (Pretoria), Ekurhuleni, Sedibeng, Metsweding, West Rand and all local municipalities in the province, our dedicated team at our two offices in Johannesburg, the country’s largest city, and Pretoria, the administrative capital, will strive to provide the best content to inform, educate and entertain you, the reader, whose feedback will always be valuable.
It is through such a platform we all can play a role in fostering development in our province, which is South Africa’s economic hub, and ultimately, our beautiful country.
This edition covers the forthcoming local government elections that the country’s major political parties are bracing for. It is through participating in elections that we can have a say in the running of the affairs of our province, hence we believe as a valuable member of the Gauteng public, you are also ready.
We chat to the newly-appointed Gauteng Tourism Authority CEO about information communication technology (ICT) in the industry as well as the job opportunities offered by the Bontle ke Botho green campaign.
Residents of Ekurhuleni have plenty to celebrate. However, check why arch-rivals Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs have little reason to celebrate so far.
