True Gospel with SAVIOUS-PARKER KWINIKA
FROM time immemorial, churches spreading the gospel of Jehovah God always befittingly put the Cross of Jesus Christ in the church building to resemble the victory of Jesus at the Cross of Calvary.
Jesus conquered death at Calvary and rose from the dead hence what one sees in church walls is of concern.
The cross symbol always erected in various churches, signifies Jesus Christ’s conquer of death.
However, a number of emerging churches, mainly pentecostals often have the portraits of so-called church founders and their wives in place of the most-famous cross.
One wonders whether these churches are for the gospel or else they are to stroke the ego of the church founders and their spouses, who ever never died for anybody.
I know I will earn myself enemies from some false Christians for writing about this, but I have said it. I will keep saying as I fight for what is right and against what is wrong.
I know there are some born-again Christians that share similar sentiments but they are scared of coming out for fear of victimisation.
Lest they come out and be suspended or expelled from these husband-and-wife-run churches.
Without fear, I have decided to embark on the journey that Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego partook when they were thrown into the furnace of fire for defying ‘people’s churches’ of King Nebuchadnezzar.
In Daniel 3:16, we are told about these courageous men of God, who did not put their lives first, but that of Jehovah God, and were punished.
However, the one who devoted Christians glorified always came to defend those that were thrown into the fierce furnace of fire.
Instead of Nebuchadnezzar seeing the trio thrown into the furnace of fire, there was the Prince of Peace Himself, Jesus Christ, who conquered death at the cross of Calvary, appearing with the trio.
Daniel 3:15 reads: “Now if you are ready, at the moment you hear the sound of the horn, flute, lyre, trigon, psaltery and bagpipe and all kinds of music, to fall down and worship the image that I have made, very well.
But if you do not worship, you will immediately be cast into the midst of a furnace of blazing fire; and what god is there who can deliver you out of my hands?”
In verse 16, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to give you an answer concerning this matter.
In verse 17: “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king.”
But believe me you all out there, know that anointing is very stubborn! When the Holy Spirit fills you, you cease to fear people, but only fear the true living God.
Human beings, like these flashy new “church owners” die, but Jehovah God is immortal, eternal. Jehovah God does not die. He is the same God today, tomorrow and forever.
I challenge, by the blood of Jesus Christ, those church founders and so-called prophets putting the portraits of theirs and spouses in church building quickly repent while there is time.
As a journalist who travels much across Africa, I have noted with dismay that from southern Africa, East and West African regions, the issue of placing portraits of husband and wife in churches has become a norm.
Such unpalatable spiritual practises must come to an end with immediate effect, unless if those churches are not of Christ.
You never died for us! The only person, who died for us was Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Son of the true living Jehovah God.
I know church owners have various reasons for doing whatever they are doing to erect their wife’s and husband’s portraits in churches, but in the first place, is it in the interest of Jesus Christ?
Whatever reasons you have, please, take down those portraits and quickly replace them with the cross of Christ.
Jesus is the only one who died for all of us, including your husband and wife.
If obsessed with yours and your spouse’s portrait, feel free to put them at your own homes because that is your property. A church is Christ’s body, so, put the cross of Jesus Christ.
You have come this far by faith, but now, you risk missing the glory of the kingdom of Jehovah God by seeking relevance with people than relevance with Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
While will I appreciate the world has different religious beliefs, but let those that churches believing in Jesus Christ truly reflect Jesus is the true head of the church, not putting those portraits.
They strongly oppose the existence of Jesus’ victory over death at the cross of Calvary.
In the world, we have Christianity, Gnosticism, Humanism, Judaism, Monotheism, Agnosticism, Atheism, Confucianism, Dualism, Rastafarian, Amish , among others that know of this cross of Calvary I’m talking to you about.
However, there are other religions such as Satanism, Occultism, Ancestor worship, Hinduism, Spiritualism, Buddhism and Voodoo. Those do not recognise the cross of Calvary.
Hence, there must be that distinction.
