New exec to steer volleyball

JOHANNESBURG – A new executive expected to take the sport to a higher level has been elected to head the Gauteng Volleyball Union (GVU).
Tebogo Sebolao, from the Sedibeng region, has been elected the President at poll recently-held at the Gauteng Sports Council in Johannesburg.
Other committee members include Alexia Beretta (Secretary General), Nobelungu Dlamini (Treasurer), Mokete Kooko Letele (Record Secretary), Nkosilathi Moyo (Competitions Director), Andries Kekana (Development Director), Kanetji Baloyi (Media & Marketing Director), Nicky Wenhold (Beach Director) and Moitsoadi Mollo (Women in Sport).
Meanwhile, due to the Flying Fish National Beach Tournament held in Johannesburg this past weekend, the GVU beach series event has been postponed.
“We will confirm the details for the next GVU tournament later,” Wenhold said
