True Gospel with SAVIOUS-PARKER KWINIKA

WHILE Jehovah God loves a generous giver, Christians must not be forced to give.

He is opposed to what we witness these days as leaders, mainly from flamboyant and charismatic churches, compel followers to give money.

Jehovah God loves cheerful givers…..people who give from their hearts instead of being lectured or persuaded to “do the right thing” by giving.

Giving must come from someone’s heart without being threatened or being warned of consequences of facing expulsion from churches.

I have often witnessed several charismatic Pentecostal churches forcing their followers to give. Shamefully a list of those that do not donate is drawn and read out during service.

This is aimed at shaming non-givers.

Many churches today spend most of their time preaching giving instead of salvation. This confirms that churches of today value making millions or billions of cash at the expense of salvation.

Some people no longer commit themselves much to the spiritual work of the Lord, let alone salvation while believing only giving would make them go to heaven. They believe through giving only, they would receive mercy from the Lord Almighty Jehovah God.

Some people are being given top positions in churches, not simply because they are committed for the word of Jehovah God, but because they make elders, pastors, bishops and church founders happy through splashing of thousands or millions of cash.

In 2 Corinthians 9:7, Jehovah God, through his anointed Apostle Paul, says, “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

The same verse in the New Living Translation version reads: “You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”

The English Standard Version states, “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

But this is no longer the case these days. Displeased preachers bombard Christians left, right and centre for not giving the desire amount. The intention is is no longer to please Jehovah God, but to make human beings, precisely, pastors, reverends and bishops happy.

Instead of one to give to please Jehovah God our Creator, congregants today are simply giving to please church leaders.

Worse, some churches claim those that who did not give will not receive any blessings from the Lord.

Matthew 6:3 states, “But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.”

The same verse of the New Living Translation reads, “But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,” while the English Standard Version reads: “But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.”

It is a rarity nowadays to see a church service start and come to an end without receiving lectures and sermons of giving.

It’s rare that church leaders speak strongly against sin.

They neither preach salvation nor teach believers to stop sinning.

Churches today no longer care about the source of some of the money being given to them, most of the money presented to the house of Jehovah God is dirty.

Whether the source is prostitution, theft, murder or corruption such issues no longer count to church elders, pastors, reverends and bishops – all they want is money, money and money!

In Mathew 6:1, Jesus Christ, the Son of God teaches us to “be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.”

The same verse in the New Living Translation reads, “Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven,” while the English Standard Version states: “Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.”

This is Jesus Himself condemning such givers. But such type of givers being condemned by Jesus Himself, are being embraced by the church of today.

Most churches have lost the relevance of giving. Many churches do not understand the principle of giving.

The principle is simple. When you give, it shall be given back to you either by Jehovah God himself or by other people because this is the supernatural law of creation, which has no force.

To confirm this, Jesus teaches us in the book of Luke 6:38, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

The verse in the New Living Translation reads, “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full–pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”

The English Standard Version reads: “Give and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

Jesus never forced people to give.

Giving, like salvation, is personal. Giving is taught, not forced.

Jehovah God wants purity at heart and does not demand donations.

In Matthew 5:8, Jesus teaches us “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”

The New Living Translation version says: “God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God,” while the English Standard Version reads: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”

I thus warn churches of today against misleading the people of God into believing only giving would see them receive favours from the Almighty.

To the people, I say, “Stop sinning, repent and practice righteousness.”

Note that giving does not feature in three foundations that Jehovah God emphasises in a Christian’s life.

The three are faith, hope and love. Jesus says out of these three, the greatest of them all is LOVE.

1 Corinthians 13:13, states, “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

The verse in the New Living Translation, reads, “Three things will last forever–faith, hope, and love–and the greatest of these is love,” while the English Standard Version reads: “So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”

The bible does not teach that those who don’t give will make God angry. Instead, the bible says without faith, it is “impossible to please God”.

Hebrews 11:6, adds, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

The same verse in the New Living Translation reads, “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him,” while the English Standard Version reads: “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”

The bible does not teach us those who don’t give or splash much will not please God. The opposite is true, those who do not give to the people of today, which is the church of people will not please church leaders, not Jehovah God.

Those who believe the true gospel say Amen!
