Staff Reporter PRETORIA – The City of Tshwane has saluted recently crowned Absa Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns for winning the coveted prize with a record 71 points and in the process bagging their seventh title for the capital city. Speaking during the city’s budget address this morning, mayor Kgosientso Ramokgopa, a huge fan of the team, said they were “proud” of Pitso Mosimane and his charges, who were readmitted into the African Champions League after their opponents in the final round AS Vita of Congo were booted out for using an ineligible player. The Brazilians have been paired against Setif of Algeria, Egypt’s Zamalek and Nigerian side Enyimba in the group stage of the competition.
