TINTSWALO BALOYI
JOHANNESBURG- INTEGRATED energy and chemical company, Sasol, has handed over mobile trailers to charity organisations during the just-ended Sasol Race Day at Zwartkops Raceway.

Pillar of Strength and HospiceWits have benefited from the gesture of goodwill.

Christopher Kabosha, Sasol Energy: Senior Manager: Marketing and Public Affairs, says Sasol has for many years spearheaded impactful socio economic investment initiatives across South Africa.

The projects are focusing on creating value for the communities in which the company operates.

“This initiative forms part of our commitment to undertaking social investments where they matter most,” adds Kabosha.

HospiceWits provides care, comfort and support to patients facing life-limiting illnesses and renders services such as general in-patient care and home-based care.

The Sasol Delight trailer will enable it move both medical equipment and medical supplies for off-site treatment.

Pillar of Strength runs a community-based outreach programme on HIV/AIDS and a Holistic Counselling and Testing (HCT) programme in the rural and informal settlements of Randfontein.

In addition, the organisation runs a feeding scheme.

The mobile trailer donated to Pillar of Strength will be used to implement the mobile feeding scheme stations across the Randfontein area as well as its medical support programme.
