Ramaphosa to address black property practitioners

saibppJOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – DEPUTY President, Cyril Ramaphosa, has been confirmed as a guest in the upcoming South African Institute for Black Property Practitioners(SAIBPP) Annual Convention and Property Indaba.
The event scheduled for Johannesburg on August 2-3 will explore contentious issues around the current state of the property industry in the country.
Minister of Public Works, Nkosinathi Nhleko, and Minister of Rural Development and Land Affairs Gugile Nkwinti, will be among the presenters.
“We are honoured that Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa will be making a keynote address at our convention,” said Vuyiswa Mutshekwane, SAIBPP Chief Executive Officer.
Ramaphosa is touted as a candidate to succeed President Jacob Zuma as the leader of the ruling African National Congress.
Mutshekwane said the convention would focus on addressing the current economic growth challenges, and the role that the industry can play in stimulating and driving development.
The proceedings of the convention will close with a gala dinner award ceremony to honour industry players that are leading transformation in the property sector.
SAIBPP has the key objective of driving transformation within the South African property sector.
This is achieved by facilitating economic participation and skills development for previously disadvantaged individuals, and ensuring more representative participation in the property industry.
The organisation comprises of +/-500 skilled black property practitioners and property owners including professionals, business leaders, suppliers and stakeholders from both private and public sector.
