JOHANNESBURG, (Gauteng Guardian) – EXCITING times are in store for fans following Absa’s renewal of its sponsorship of the South African Premiership.
Ahead of the much-anticipated Pretoria derby between Mamelodi Sundowns and Supersport United, the bank has commenced a series of activations around shopping malls and branches where customers and soccer fans stand a chance to win awesome prizes.
This forms part of the 2017/18 Absa Premiership “Woza Nazo” campaign,which the bank launched recently as a celebration of the renewal of its sponsorship.
Oscar Siziba, Managing Executive in Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Pretoria at Absa, said the campaign, which means “Bring It On”, was the first time ever the company was doing something for the fans.
“This is about the fans.”
In the lead up to this upcoming derby, Absa will be giving away tickets,DSTV Explorer decoders and an all-time new ‘Absa Red Ticket Zone.’
Lucas Moripe Stadium will play host to the match on Saturday.
On match day, fans also stand a chance to Kick for R1 million through the ‘Absa Kick for a Million’ penalty competition.
