PRETORIA – SOUTH African President Jacob Zuma has reshuffled his cabinet on Tuesday dumping Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande.
In a statement made available to media, the new minister of higher education is now Professor Hlengiwe Mkhize while Ayanda Dlodlo becomes the Home Affairs minister.
Mmamaloko Kubayi has beem elevated to become minister of Communications, David Mahlobo moved to become minister of energy while Advocate Bongani Thomas Bongo takes over the ministry of State Security.
Buti Manamela has been moved to the higher education deputy ministry.
“After careful consideration, I have decided to make the following changes to the National Executive,” Zuma said.
