EACH time I study the bible, particularly Jesus Christ’s prophecies that people shall be lovers of money than the truth in the end of time, I never imagined such scriptures and prophecies shall be fulfilled in our lifetime.

My tears always fall whenever I relate to what is happening today across the world, where righteousness is being replaced with wickedness. Believers, including those that still under the bondage of the devil are always quick to endorse sin and impurity with impunity or favouritism.

Even in churches today, less than 10 percent religions teach righteousness. It’s always about glorification of human beings, power, money and accelerated wickedness.

The poor, widows, elderly and orphans are increasingly isolated at the expense of the love of riches.

Oddly, when one goes to church hoping to find sanctuary from the favour of Jehovah God, if one does not have money, one will never be prayed for. One is completely ignored and those with money are given preferential treatment.

Promotion or elevation of believers in church is based on the amount of money they contribute regardless of them commiting sinful acts on daily basis.

Wickedness has increased and false prophets have taken the centre stage. The world apparently is embracing such false religions, contrary to the True Gospel of our Lord Almighty Jehovah God through His begotten Son Jesus Christ.

In the ancient biblical world, people when hungry, were fed by “men of God.” In a reversal of roles, today, it is the “men of God” always crying to be fed by congregants.

They (men of God of today) are crying to be fed by the hungry and poor. As if that is not enough, the so-called men of God yearn for blessings from congregants, instead of them demonstrating the power of Jehovah God in blessing those still new in faith.

A verse coming to mind is in the book of Matthew 14:19-21 of the New Living Translation version. It reads, “Then he told the people to sit down on the grass. Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he gave the bread to the disciples, who distributed it to the people. They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers.”

Some might argue such miracles were performed by Jesus the Son of God, so, such things cannot be done today or emulated ordinary human beings.

Well, I will quickly take you to the Old Testament when Moses took people of Israel out of bondage in Egypt. It so happened the Israelites complained of hunger. They came to the Desert of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the 15th day of the second month after they had come out of bondage in Egypt.

Here, we see people of Israel in the desert grumbling against Moses and his brother Aaron about hunger.

If you read Exodus 16:3, the Israelites raised concern to the true man of God, Moses, complaining, “If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death.”

But listen to Jehovah God’s immediate response to the protesting or complaining Israelites against Moses: “I will rain down bread from heaven for you.”

If you read further on Exodus 16:12, “I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, ‘At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.”

Here, we see Jehovah God assuring Moses He would surely feed the hungry and thirsty people of Israel as opposed to modern-day “men of God” who only want to be bought expensive cars, mansions and showered with fat cheque books.

When it was evening, quail came and covered the camp, and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp. Immediately when the dew was gone, thin flakes like frost on the ground appeared on the desert floor. When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was.

Moses said to them, “It is the bread the Lord has given you to eat. 16 This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Everyone is to gather as much as they need. Take an omer[a] for each person you have in your tent.”

May I also take you further to 2 Kings 4: 3-6 of the New International Version where prophet Elisha, another true man of Jehovah God addressed human suffering without making empty promises.

Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.”

She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. When all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another one.” But he replied, “There is not a jar left.” Then the oil stopped flowing.

Contrary to what we see today with the rise of the aforementioned “men” of God, these individuals are the ones crying to be fed. The true Jehovah God uses His men and women to perform miracles that address people’s challenges and crises, not fake prophets.

One of my favourite gospel preachers of all time, Apostle Paul of Tarsus, confirmed this True Gospel I’m sharing with you here when he said people shall be lovers of money as opposed to the true word of Jehovah God.

In the book of 2 Timothy 3:2, Paul said: “For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred.”

Those still spiritual ‘babies” and young in faith, well, our Lord Jesus Christ warned us neither to call His name in vain nor perform fake miracles for we shall enter the Kingdom of God.

According to Matthew 7:21, Jesus warns us saying: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”

Here the will of Jehovah God is righteousness, not greedy, wickedness, lies, false prophecies, blasphemy and boastful.

Further in Matthew 24:24, Jesus said: “For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones.”

Those who believe in this True Gospel say “amen”!
