JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – ESKOM has reported stability to the power system and ruled out the possibility of load shedding.

is stable and no load shedding is currently taking place.

“In the past 40 days we have had only 2 hours and 20 minutes of load shedding,” Eskom said on Friday.

“And, since it was stage 1 load shedding, this meant that 96 percent of South Africans still received uninterrupted electricity supply.”

Eskom nonetheless warned earlier in the week the power system would be especially tight until Sunday.

“We continue to urge customers to use energy efficiently at all times,” Eskom appealed.

The company said it would continue to provide regular updates on the status of the power system through all the media platforms.
