JOHANNESBURG – Mamelodi Sundowns ace Khama Billiat last night swept every individual award before him as the Tshwane giants predictably dominated the Absa Premier Soccer League awards ceremony held at the Emperor’s
Palace in Johannesburg.
Billiat, the 25 year-old Zimbabwean international was named Midfielder of the Season, Players’ player of the Season and Player of the Season respectively to cap a memorable night for himself and his team.
Sundowns teammate Thabo Nthethe was awarded twice, receiving the Telkom Knockout Player of the Tournament, and the Absa Premiership Defender of the Season.
Goalkeeper Denis Onyango was named the Absa Premiership Goalkeeper of the Tournament, while coach Pitso Mosimane was named Absa Premiership Coach of the Season.
