All set for MTN race

JOHANNESBURG   -MTN SA has surpassed its target of 4000 entries for this weekend’s Yello  care 21 kilometres road race scheduled for MTN Innovation Centre in Johannesburg.

Larissa Meacher, the Communication Specialist, revealed they have received 4 120 entries, and more are still expected.

“Sporting enthusiasts who have not registered still have a chance register from today (Thursday 2 June) 09:00 – 18:00 daily should anyone still wish to enter while On-line registration is however now closed,” said Larissa.

The race is part of MTN SA Foundation’s corporate social investment unit. The Foundation has been running annually for since 2007.

The 21 Day Y’ello Care Campaign will kick-off at MTN Innovation Centre on Saturday, 4 June with a 21 km half marathon.

The half marathon allows employees, members of the public and MTN stakeholders to give back to communities by devoting time to help others.

The MTN SA Foundation plans to use the half marathon to raise funds for a mobile computer lab which will be donated to a school that is yet to be identified.

The race organizer said there still awaiting confirmation from the Central Gauteng Athletics following the Comrades marathon which for any high profile names expected in the event .
