JOHANNESBURG – GENETEC, the provider of open-platform, unified internet protocol security solutions, has announced the appointment of Brent Cary as Regional Sales Manager for the sub-Saharan Africa region.

In his new position, he will be recruiting and hiring new sales people, and expanding and supporting the company’s network of certified systems integrators and channel partners.

A security industry professional with over 13 years of experience, he joins Genetec after holding various senior sales positions at international Fortune 100 companies and small-to-medium enterprises in the Video Management Systems (VMS) and Access Control industry within South Africa.

He holds a degree in Business Science from William Carey University Gulfport, Mississippi, United States of America and a Bachelor of Commerce degree, specialising in Marketing from the University of South Africa.
