JOHANNESBURG– HIGHLANDS Park captain, Tapuwa Kapini, is modest about the Absa Premiership newcomers’ prospects in the 2016/17 season.

The Zimbabwean (31), a standout performer in the side’s successful bid for promotion from the first division, says the objective is to ensure the team remains in the elite league.

“We want to do well and to retain the team’s status but were not going to be the whipping boys,” the goalkeeper says.

“Finishing in the top eight will be a bonus,” he adds

Kapini is also upbeat the players that helped the club finish second in the first division and book a place in the Premiership via the playoffs will be able to compete.

“I have confidence in the team. The current players know what the club is all about. I believe those who will be joining will add value to the side,” says the former Platinum Stars and Amazulu player adds.
