PRETORIA – Supersport United have confirmed there have applied to the PSL for a venue change in their home fixture against Free Stars this weekend .

The application was made to assist our Tshwane neighbors Sundowns who found themselves without a booked stadium for their CAF game second leg against Zambian Champions Zesco United .

” Our CEO, Matthews has confirmed that we were under no obligation to relinquish our booking of Lucas Moripe to make way for the Sundowns game ” said Koketso Gaofetoge the team Spokeperson .

In a display of sportmanship , he latest gesture by Supersport is in contrast to recent tussle displayed by Tshwane rivals over the same warm spot during tthe MTN 8 quarter final .

The rivals laid claim to the right side of the pitch for their warm ahead of the MTN 8 clash at Loftus Versfeld Stadium .

Apparently Pitso Mosimane insisted they had right to warm up on the right hand side as hosts while SS United Baxter argued according to FIFA international standard practise laws , visitors get to use of the right side , which also happened to be parallel to their dressing room .

Supersport say there looking into the bigger picture as an imminent qualification for by their rivals wikll mean an additional spot for South African teams in the next edition of CAF Champions league .

“I can’t pretend that we are happy about the situation as it is disruptive to our coach’s plans, players, supporters and sponsors.”-Matthews

Maenwhile King Zwelithini stadium in the township of Umlazi on the same date and time confirmed venue for game against Free State Stars .

The team has assured fans who had purchased tickets for Lucas Moripe there will be allowed to use the very same FSS ticket to gain entry at all of their home games this season .
