JOHANNESBURG – ZIMBABWE’S Deputy President Emmerson Mnangagwa privately jetted in and out of South Africa on Friday where he is alleged to have conducted deals with a Jewish businessman.
The Zimbabwe deputy head of state was spotted at the Lanseria Airport, west of Johannesburg, in the afternoon when he received three bags thought to be loaded with money.
CAJ News Africa spotted Mnangagwa leave the airport near Kgugersdorp with the bags, comprising a suitcase and two smaller bags.
Prior to his return to Lanseria, Mnangagwa had a meeting with his Jewish business counterpart in Sandhurst, Johannesburg.
Mnangagwa, who was in the accompany of two bodyguards was escorted from Sandhurst back to Lanseria in 2 black Mercedes-Benz AMG vehicles with flashing lights and Audi R5s.
Upon arrival at Lanseria, he boarded an ExecuJet craft, which operates private chartered airlines between Lanseria and Cape Town.
Officials at the airport also confirmed this to CAJ News Africa.
ExecuJet is headquartered in Switzerland with international branches in Middle East.
Efforts to get comment from Mnangagwa proved fruitless as he mobile was not reachable.
