JOHANNESBURG – A tightly contested MultiChoice Diski Challenge (PSL Reserve League) season has set up another exciting conclusion to the season.
In a scenario identical to last season, a single point separates the top two sides heading into the final round of matches which have been scheduled for the Sinaba and Tsakane Stadiums on Sunday.
Mamelodi Sundowns, who’ve finished as runners-up for the past two seasons, lead the standings with 31 points. Snapping at their heels is a Bloemfontein Celtic side which catastrophically blew a two-goal lead in a crazy six minutes to lose 3-2 to Ajax Cape Town in the penultimate round, on 30 points.
With their destiny in their own hands – a win would secure them the title – Sundowns could finally bag the coveted prize of an eight-day training camp in the Netherlands at the third time of asking.
Sundowns will play Cape Town City at Sinaba while Celtic face Baroka FC in Tsakane. Both matches will kick off simultaneously at 12h00.
Irrespective of results defending Champions Golden Arrows are not expected to move in thon slot on th position in the standings
SuperSport will broadcast both matches live. The Sundowns-City encounter will primarily be on screen with a split screen used to intermittently crossover to the Celtic-Baroka match every five minutes and immediately whenever a goal is scored.
Entry to both stadiums is free but fans must be in possession of a ticket to gain entry. Tickets will be available for collection at the stadium ticket offices from afternoon on Friday.
