JOHANNESBURG – FRUIT & Veg City Holdings, which owns, operates and franchises a network of food stores across South Africa, is overhauling its software systems to meet strategic objectives.
The company has selected redPanda Software, an expert in the end-to-end development and support of customised applications aimed at streamlining business processes and operations, to attain its strategic objectives.
Leon Coetzer, Chief Operations Officer at redPanda Software, explains Fruit & Veg City Holdings was looking for a long-term partner to renew the IT systems that drive the Group’s considerable network of stores.
These stores include specialised service departments such as hot foods, bakery, deli, cheese, seafood and sushi; and other specialty store positions including groceries, kitchenware and fresh produce.
Coetzer, the redPanda approach – would allow Fruit & Veg City Holdings to track progress and to provide technical input on an ongoing and frequent basis.
He added redPanda understood the Group needed both flexibility and consistency within the partnership, and his company’s approach had been carefully designed to meet these types of needs.
