JOHANNESBURG-ZIMBABWEAN international striker, Tendai Ndoro, is set to join Saudi Arabian football club Al Faisaly, his South African club confirmed on Tuesday.
Orlando Pirates announced through its website their leading scorer for the 2016/2017 Premier Soccer League campaign will be going for medical tests in the Middle East.
“The club can confirm that it has reached an agreement for the sale of the Zimbabwean international to Al Faisaly Football Club,” Pirates stated.
“Ndoro is due to undergo a medical in Saudi Arabia before the deal is finalised.”
Ndoro, a previous top goal scorer in his homeland with Chicken Inn, has been a revelation since joining the Buccaneers from Mpumalanga Black Aces in 2015.
He scored 17 goals in 45 matches, a period which the South African side’s goalscoring form has been relatively poor.
The past few months have been frustrating for the 32-year-old as he found himself sidelined after Muhsin Ertugral quit the club.
He did not feature much under Kjell Jonevret, who has since been relieved of his duties.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday evening, Pirates are away to Baroka at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, Limpopo.
Elsewhere, Mamelodi Sundowns host Polokwane City at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria while Chippa United entertain AmaZulu at Nelson Mandela Bay in Port Elizabeth.
All matches kick off is at 19h30.
