JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – SOUTH African goalkeeper, Oscarine Masuluke, has made the top three shortlist for the FIFA Puskás Award 2017.
He will compete with Olivier Giroud (France/Arsenal) and Deyna Castellanos (Venezuela/Venezuela U-17 Women’s national team) for the “most beautiful” goal of the season.
FIFA announced the nominees on Monday.
The public voting on FIFA.com for this category will close on October 23.
The winning goal will be announced London on the day.
Masuluke is nominated for his last-minute acrobatic equaliser (1-1)
against Orlando Pirates on November 30.
Castellanos’ effort came in the FIFA U 17 Women´s World Cup Jordan 2016 when she lobbed the Cameroon goalkeeper from the centre circle.
