NAIROBI – HUAWEI has launched the Y5 Prime 2018 as part of initiatives to increase its market share in Kenya.
The latest device in the market will be retailing at a recommended price of Kshs 9 999 (US$99) on Jumia, the exclusive online retailer, and retail stores across the country.
“We are delighted to announce the arrival of Huawei Y5 Prime 2018 in the Kenyan market,” Huawei Mobile Kenya, Marketing Head, Derek Duh, said.
“(The device) is aimed at appealing to the tech savvy and socially fashionable youth as we focus on increasing our market share in the market by at least 40 percent.”
Duh said the Y5 Prime 2018 exceeded users’ expectation, offered more value and created better user experiences to meet consumers’ interest.
The 5,45-inch smartphone is 2GB RAM and 16GM ROM.
It features a 5MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera.
HUAWEI Y5 Prime is available in Gold, Black and Blue.
