JOHANNESBURG – VODACOM is offering customers the opportunity to live stream the inaugural Shell Helix Ultra Cup between South African football giants Kaizer Chiefs and Mameodi Sundonws on Saturday.
The highly-anticipated soccer match kicks off at FNB Stadium west of Johannesburg at 15h00.
Vodacom’s View+ platform has been granted exclusive rights to live stream the event.
The mobile network operator said the streaming is “a small sample of what to expect from the platform as it grows.”
“We’re excited to have been given the opportunity to connect South African’s to what they are passionate about,” said Ashraff Paruk, Managing Executive for Vodacom.
“Through our View+, always-on digital platform, we are able to place the experience, created by this much anticipated game, in the palms of our customers’ hands.”
Sponsored by Shell Downstream SA, the Shell Helix Ultra Cup forms part of a three-year agreement between Stadium Management SA and the petroleum company.
