JOHANNESBURG – THE dry spell characterising the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region begs the question, ‘If indeed, we do have the prophets of the Almighty Jehovah God, why are they not praying for the rains to fall and save millions from starvation?’

Major water reservoirs, dams and rivers have dried up in South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Lesotho, Swaziland, as well as further afield in East African countries such as Tanzania, Somalia, Burundi and Rwanda.

This is happening despite the prevalence of so-called prophets some people have placed hopes of salvation on.

Presumably, the majority of us have attained some basic education, gone to school while some have been fortunate to proceed to tertiary institutions.

Then, imagine 71 percent of the earth’s surface is water-covered, and the oceans hold about 96,5 percent of the entire planet’s water. Water also exists in the air as water vapour, in rivers and lakes, in icecaps and glaciers, in the ground as soil moisture and in aquifers. It also exists among humans and animals as well.

Why then can these prophets not foresee the problem of rainfall scarcity coming as was the case in the old days of the true prophets of Jehovah God that we knew? Otherwise the drought spells currently threatening the entire continent of 1,7 billion population could have been averted.

What worries me most, as one of the believers in the House of Jehovah God, although I’m a sinner, is that, these emerging prophets, majority of them are good at preaching the gospel of giving, giving and giving yet without preaching salvation and desist from sinning against the Lord Almighty Jehovah God.

People today are no longer afraid of committing sin against Jehovah. It is because they always get rewarded and extolled by pastors and church founders for giving much money in their churches at the expense of true Gospel of Lord Jesus Christ.

This article was written following an evening of prayer with my best friend or Brethren in Christ, Michael Mawere.

One question kept popping in my mind.

Mawere concurred in question.

“Where are the prophets of ‘god’ when the rest of Africa is being ravaged by drought?”

A visit to the scriptures landed us on James 5:17-18, which reads: “Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years,”

That is according to the International Version.

The same verse on the English Standard Version reads: “Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth.

In the similar manner in which he prayed for the rains not to fall, Elijah prayed for a return of the rains.

Why then can our so-called prophets only able to tell people’s cell phone numbers but have no cure or solution to real issues that trouble the world.

In my prayers with brother Mike, we agreed that, forthwith, we will never ever obey man except God. Whether a person speaks in tongues or by fire, we made a covenant with Jehovah God on Sunday, 8th November 2015, not to ever obey a human being, but the true LIVING JEHOVAH God.

Michael and I have top jobs and have steady incomes. Therefore, what we seek is God, not the financial blessings being preached everyday at the expense of encouraging the people of God to escape from sin.

Matthew 24:24, it reads: “For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, event the elect. See, I have told you in advance,” reads the Bible, quoting Jesus Christ.

While we live on earth, we should enjoy earthly life to the fullest. My spirit feels like quitting my job and start preaching throughout Johannesburg, Nairobi, Lagos, Harare or Cairo about the true gospel of the Living Jehovah God which is being abused for people’s gains.

To show seriousness about following the will of Jehovah God, we shall interact with people of all people in all walks of life, not to come to our church, but urge them to resist false prophets and fake churches.

Africa needs rain today. Not even a single “prophet” has solution.

All they ‘prophets’ do is to ‘prophesy’ miracle money, miracle marriages, miracle jobs, miracle houses, miracle cars, miracle lives without telling people about quitting sin and returning to the Almighty Jehovah God.

From today, November 9, until the time I depart from this planet, I have made a vow, I will never obey man. I will only obey and worship the true living Jehovah God. If church owners want to ban me, let them go ahead because I only subscribe to the church of Christ that does the will of Jehovah God, not of people.
