Crucial fixtures mark ABSA Premiership return

football pitchCAPE TOWN, (CAJ News) – THE ABSA Premiership will resume next week following the festive season break.

Ajax Cape Town, who have already bagged the MTN 8 this season, will kick proceeding off against inconsistent Bloemfontein Celtic at the Cape Town Stadium on Friday.

The encounter is set for 20h00.

Another crucial league match is on the following day, featuring relegation contenders Pretoria University and Jomo Cosmos at the Tuks Stadium in Pretoria.

Struggling Soweto giant Orlando Pirates will entertain Platinum Stars at Orlando Stadium while Free State Stars will battle out with Golden Arrows Goble Park.

All the three matches will kick off at 15h30.

Elsewhere, defending premiership champions, Kaizer Chiefs, host logleaders Mamelodi Sundowns at FNB Stadium while Mpumalanga Black Aces will be clashing with Polokwane City at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.Both matches kick-off at 20h15.
