Joburg’s SAP skills beneficiaries to graduate

JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – THE first set of Johannesburg youths that participated in the Systems Applications Products (SAP) Skills Development Programme will graduate next week.

They are beneficiaries of a partnership between the City of Joburg and SAP, the global software and technology solutions provider.

30 Graduates have completed and passed the SAP training, 15 of those completed training in SAP Financials while the other 15 completed training in Human capital Management.

The initiative is aimed at skills development, job creation and to develop ICT skills as well as reduce youth unemployment Targeting University graduates residing in the City of Johannesburg.

“The City of Joburg strives to be a high performing metropolitan local government that pro-actively contributes to and builds a sustainable, socially inclusive, locally integrated and globally competitive Gauteng City Region,” said Thembelihle Radebe, City of Joburg publicist.

She said the city will also use this collaboration with SAP as a much needed opportunity to be a part of a global commitment to promoting education and entrepreneurship.

Mayor Parks Tau, and SAP Chief Operating Officer- Mehmood Khan as well as both City of Joburg and SAP Executive and staff members will attend the event set for Tuesday.
