JOHANNESBURG, – ABSA, sponsor of the Premiership, has congratulated Mamelodi Sundowns after the Chloorkop-based club clinched the 2015/16 league.

The title was won with a 3-0 victory over the University of Pretoria on Wednesday night.

The Brazilians will officially be crowned this season’s Absa Premiership champions on 21 May when they host Platinum Stars at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Absa also heaped praise on coach Pitso Mosimane, who has won the Absa Premiership for the second time in his career.

“We congratulate Pitso for his leadership in guiding the team through the season’s highs and lows and helping them achieve their ambitions on and off the field,” said Malabie.

Sundowns will pocket at least R10 million for their efforts.
