JOHANNESBURG – VEEAM, the technology solutions provider, has appointed Claude Schuck as the new regional manager for Africa.

Schuck joins Veeam at a time the company is looking to pursue growth and strengthen its channel market in South Africa and the rest of the continent.

Executives said as an industry veteran with more than 20 years’ experience, Schuck would spearhead this drive with his extensive expertise in the channel.

“This is an important appointment for Veeam as it sends a clear message that we are growing our business in Africa to meet the immense opportunity the continent has to offer,” said Gregg Petersen, regional director for the Middle East and Africa and the South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation at Veeam.

“Claude Schuck is a highly experienced executive with significant credibility in the market. His ability to run large teams and highly complex channel projects positions him well to expand Veeam across Africa.”

Schuck said the business demands of the digital world had changed the way decision-makers approach their technology solutions.

“In South Africa, the cloud will help drive this but a business needs a partner it can trust and who takes the time to understand its core strategy. Veeam has always excelled at this and I look forward to driving even more momentum across Africa,” he said.
