MXO and SLIQ continue to do damage in their native tongue

MUSICIANS, MXO and SLIQ Angel will be performing live in Johannesburg at Winnie’s Soul & Jazz

Restaurant on 20 and 21 July, as their continue to share and celebrate their native Xhosa heritage.

Over the past two decades, the pair have taken advantage of their respective talents and love for each other’s work travelling a musical journey, which they have taken to public various stages through free styling and jamming around the country.

After making a name for themselves as solo artists, they later came together to form a musical movement called Roots 2000, which was initially established in that year (2000) to share and celebrate their Xhosa heritage.

Their sound is Afrocentric, Soulful, Eclectic and Poetic.

The duo say their work is to celebrate Roots, culture and tradition.
