JOHANNESBURG – MERCEDES-Benz South Africa (MBSA) has announced the appointment of Jasper Hafkamp as its new Executive Director for the Regional Centre Southern Africa (RCSA).

He joins on December 1.

Hafkamp will be responsible for Daimler Trucks & Buses (DT&B) in Southern Africa.

He takes over from Kobus van Zyl, been appointed as General Manager for National Automotive Industries in Saudi Arabia, a joint venture between Mercedes-Benz Trucks and E.A. Juffali & Brothers.

The latter’s appointment is effective October 1.

Arno van der Merwe, Chief Executive Officer of MBSA and Executive Director: Manufacturing says, “We wish Kobus well in all his future endeavours. We are confident the Juffali Group is gaining a valuable member to their team and we look forward to welcoming Jasper to the management team of MBSA.”
