JOHANNESBURG – FIRST National Bank (FNB) announced it had been recognised as the Best Retail Bank in in the region at the recent annual Banker Africa -Southern Africa Awards 2017.
Faye Mfikwe, FNB Chief Marketing Officer, said the recognition was testament to the bank’s efforts to consistently set industry benchmarks in innovation and performance.
“Our fundamental commitment is to deliver on our brand promise of helpfulness, which manifests in the range of innovative solutions we offer our customers,” said Mfikwe.
The Banker Africa Awards recognise financial institutions that offer best-in-class services that meet the needs and exceed the expectations of customers.
The institution says the awards promote excellence and competition among entities that set new standards in quality of service, best practice and financial performance.
The winners were selected by registered readers of financial products and services, mainly peers in the financial services industry.
Earlier this year, FNB received global recognition as one of the world’s most powerful banking brands, ranked fourth in the banking category of Brand Finance’s Brand Strength Index (BSI) for 2017.
