A PROPHET is neither truly appreciated nor honoured in his homeland.

I found truth in that during my recent tour of Orlando, Florida in the United States of America (USA).

There, I met several business executives, academics and professionals from across the world but I specifically targeted Israelis at the conference so as to hear their perceptions, feelings and views about Jesus Christ.

I was shocked by the level of insult, disparage, denigration, vilification, criticism and condemnation the majority Israelites directed at Jesus Christ.

Some even labeled Him “fake.”

Well, I did not want to sound judgemental or finding fault with the colleagues from Israel.

Admittedly though, my faith was nearly shaken.

Because I had deep knowledge of the bible, most importantly blessed with the gift of Holy Spirit, I remained as cool as a cucumber while the Israelis tore Jesus Christ into shreds.

As I was listening to their disparaging sentiments and their disowning of Jesus Christ as fake, I immediately felt the Holy Spirit taking control of my body – right from the hair, head and limbs.

The Holy Spirit had my entire body slowly shaking but in a fully composed manner.

My faith began to grow as I started taking them through scriptures.

Fully equipped with the knowledge of the scriptures, I cannot be easily manipulated on issues relating to Jehovah God and His Prince of Peace, Jesus, because I am testimony to His favour and mercies.

I deliberately threw my Israeli colleagues a question to establish whether they viewed Jesus as the Messiah or Son of God.

The answer was a resounding “NO!”

My intention was neither to pick up arguments nor quarrel but to simply understand whether Jesus Christ was respected in his homeland.

They (Israelis) told me Jesus was “fake” and a “false prophet” who seized the opportunity that presented itself to claim to be Jehovah God’s Son yet he was the son of a mere carpenter called Joseph, from Nazareth.

They even told me his mother was human being called Mary.

Then, they mentioned some historic places in Israel, mentioned in the holy bible.

I saw this as moment to enlighten them with recorded scriptures. It became apparent that in the bible, they selectively picked topics that suited them while deliberately ignoring some chapters that did not go well with them.

Their rejection of Jesus Christ quickly reminded me of the book of Mark 6:4, which states, “A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his relatives and his own family.”

Such glaring rejection and denial also reminded me of Jesus Christ’s disciples, who walked with him for years yet without knowing who he was.

In the book of Matthew 16:15, Jesus asked his disciples this question, “But who do you say I am?”

Jesus knew very well most of the disciples following Him did not know exactly who he was, hence the question.

Only Peter, out of the 12 disciples, guessed correctly, and answered accurately on Matthew 16:16, answering, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

If one looks back into the book of Matthew 16:14, some disciples had this to say, “Some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.”

So, my knowledge of the word of Jehovah God quickly came to my defence.

I also quickly remembered Acts 1:8, “But you (disciples) will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere–in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

I immediately seized the opportunity to share the same scriptures they were deliberately ignoring while hand-picking those that suited or excited them.

I took the Israelis down memory lane- more than 2 000 years back-when Jesus prophesied the disasters that are happening on earth now.

There will be food shortages, incurable diseases, tribal wars, floods, father and son will not see eye-to-eye while mother and daughter will do the same, Jesus prophesied.

I reminded them of these accurate prophecies coming to fulfillment today. Jesus made these prophesies more than 2 000 years ago. Such prophecies are not avoidable even when powerful nations would want to prevent them.

I also reminded my Israeli colleagues of the great works Jesus performed during His lifetime.

He raised the dead, cured the sick, chased out demons, fed thousands from five loaves of bread and the two fish but most importantly, Jesus taught us LOVE, FORGIVENESS and HONOURING Jehovah God, the heavenly Father.

I told them Jesus never claimed to be Jehovah God but the son of the Living Jehovah God.

They were amazed.

Some requested to come to my room at Hilton Hotel to worship the “True Living Jehovah God from Africa.”

However, I vehemently dismissed the notion of the Jehovah God from Africa speaking through me. All I was saying was He is readily available to those that confess their sins and accept Jesus Christ is Lord.

This includes Israelis and the entire world.

Jesus forewarned us about false prophets that would mushroom the world over, performing great signs and wonders and deceiving even the most elect.

He is the same Jesus who taught the entire world how to love, care and have compassion towards each other, yet the entire world even proponents of human rights, are chasing after peace without finding it.

Jesus forewarned in Luke 21:25, “And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken.”

Most interestingly, the prophesy of false prophets and messiahs would emerge on Matthew 24:24: “For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones.”

After sharing the scriptures of who Jesus was and enlightening them He is still with us even today, I saw many of my Israeli counterparts following me to my room.

The only thing lacking was water to baptize them in the name of the Father (Jehovah God), Son (Jesus Christ) and Holy Spirit so that their sins may be forgiven before the Second Coming of the same Jesus, whom they were disparaging.

When the week ended, I had believers at the conference believing in this True Gospel.

Those who believe in this True Gospel, like my Israeli colleagues now do, say “Amen!”
