JOHANNESBURG – JACO Oosthuizen has been officially appointed as Managing Director of Renault South Africa with immediate effect.
The appointment follows a six-month term as Managing Director Designate under incumbent MD Nicholas de Canha.
He will report to Osman Suluman Arbee, Chief Executive Officer of Motus Corporation.
“Jaco’s business philosophy of simplicity, integrity and open communication, together with his strong drive to develop staff to reach their greatest potential, align with the values of both Motus and Renault. We wish him well in his new role as he takes the Renault brand in South Africa to the next level,” said Osman.
A Chartered Accountant, Oosthuizen started his career at Deloitte & Touche in 1996.
He joined the Imperial Group in 2001, where he assumed numerous positions across the organisation.
This included the role of Managing Director at both Daihatsu South Africa and Mitsubishi South Africa.
Oosthuizen assumes his new position as Renault is currently well placed in the market place, with exciting new product launches set to expand the already extensive product range, and further grow the brand over the next 12 months.
