Just 26% of the vote has been counted and vetted by the IEC, so this is by no means a final call. But the EFF has held on to close to 10% of the vote through the morning’s counting. If this continues to the be the case, and the DA and ANC continue to fail to cross the 50% barrier (DA on 44% and ANC 41 right now) then the EFF’s 10% will be the difference between winning and losing.
Should EFF go ino coalition with ANC analyst note that could be seen as betrayal among EFF faithful.
While DA ‘s Herman Mashaba is an advocate of the free market his policies are in discord with the riotous leftism of the EFF?
