JOHANNESBURG – STANDARD Bank will in October host an inter-Africa trade and business dialogue aimed at connecting commercial banking clients with similar business interests across the continent.

The event is slated for October 3 – 5 in Ghana.

It will explore opportunities in West Africa.

The West Africa Trans-Regional conference will host delegates from Angola, China, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, South Africa as well as clients from Southern and Eastern Africa.

The conference follows the inaugural session held in Kenya during April when Standard Bank hosted clients from Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda.

For the session in Ghana, delegates looking to explore business opportunities in the West Africa region will be able to connect and network with like-minded business leaders from across Africa and China through engagements with key business players and policy makers in the West Africa region.

“When we say Africa is our home and that we drive her growth, it is our responsibility to extend ourselves beyond just banking.

“We must add value by providing exposure, information and our expertise to our clients to foster an environment that facilitates their growth and success,” says Manessah Alagbaoso, Head of Commercial Banking at Standard Bank Rest of Africa.

Standard Bank Group (also trading as Stanbic Bank) is rated the largest African bank by assets with a footprint across 20 African countries.
