ONE of the lessons I learnt in my long journey with the Almighty Jehovah God is that He can deliberately break our spirits in order to save our souls from perishing.

By nature whenever individuals are in a comfort zone, they do not acquire whatever their hearts desire in order to succeed in life.

I have often witnessed family members, workmates, friends and relatives receiving easily the things they desire without sweating for.

They receive these gifts, presents or blessings on a silver platter.

Similarly, at work, whenever employees receive salaries, bonuses and allowances on time without challenges, they tend to relax, sleep on the job or do personal piece jobs neglecting what they have been employed to do.

Yet, when such companies are forced to shut down, they usually cry the loudest while raising flimsy, baseless and unfounded accusations against employers.

This is why in many occasions, the Almighty Jehovah God allows pain in our lives so that we may be stronger and stay alert.

In my journey with this Jehovah God I’m talking about on this True Gospel platform, I have learnt that without pain, human beings usually don’t just get it or think outside the box.

A quick biblical verse, Jonah 1:17,comes to mind. When Jehovah God wanted to send Jonah to Nineveh, Jonah refused, and ran away from Him.

What happened after, a huge fish swallowed Jonah into its belly for three days so that he goes to the place he initially resisted. That was the Almighty Jehovah God Himself forcing Jonah to do the right thing that he initially refused.

If one carefully studies that scripture, one would see that Jehovah God had good intention of sending Jonah so that the people of the city of Nineveh are saved from destruction.

It was not until Jonah got swallowed that he obeyed and preached to the people of Nineveh for repentance, and Jehovah God saved the city from destruction.

Jonah 1:17 of the New International Version states: “Now the LORD provided a huge fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.”

Similarly, if one reads Hebrews 12:5-7 of the New International Version, one will find such harsh disciplines are necessary in life in order to correct bad behaviour at home, work, business, relationship or church.

The book of Hebrews 12:5-7 reads, “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”

“Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father?”

Until such a time family members, employees or beloved ones encounter challenges in their lives, it is then they start thinking out of their normal routine and possibly reflect outside the box.

Even in critical situations where organisations aim to implement positive changes that eventually will make everyone happy, human beings always resist such changes because of the comfort zone but when they feel pain, they quickly co-operate, sometimes in a desperate manner.

Another supportive scriptural verse is Proverbs 3:11-12 of the English Standard Version when one of the ancient wisest kings – Solomon, the son of David says: “My son, do not despise the LORD’s discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the LORD reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.”

Many people who have achieved their goals in life have gone through the situations I’m preaching in this True Gospel forum.

The challenges they faced drew them out of their comfort zone.

What baffles the mind is why people always resist change that is intended to make their lives and beloved ones better?

Those who have walked with Jehovah God in their lives will agree such resistance coupled with destructive influences always come from the devil so that he inflicts suffering in life.

When such resistance and opposition take place in your personal life, you would think you are either challenging your spouse, parent, employer or leader yet it is the devil causing the rebellion that would lead you into destruction or suffering.

The book of John 10:10 confirms this True Gospel. It reads, “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”

Now when we allow the devil to negatively influence us to resist such positive changes aimed at improving our lives, then Jehovah God breaks our hearts to make us whole.

I can assure you reader that Jehovah God would deliberately inflict pain so that we may be stronger and be refocussed.

Even failing in life, sometimes Jehovah God can cause brilliant people to fail at school, colleges or universities so that they will be humble in life.

God can use anything at His disposal to inflict pain that would transform our lives. If it means allowing illness so we can take better care of ourselves, then Jehovah God allows one to be sick in order to stop certain habits such as abusive drinking of alcohol.

Imagine some people, drink beer daily from morning to evening yet are unwilling to assist the poor. Eventually, when such people become ill, they immediately stop drinking beer because their health is at stake.

Immediately stopping alcohol abuse, their health becomes extremely good – what an awesome Jehovah God!

It is normal for Jehovah God to take away everything from stubborn people in order to make them appreciate the value of everything He initially gave to them.

If we go into comfort zone, sometimes we cannot identify people who love us or hate us because what we possess makes us become very stubborn.

Imagine falling in love with someone who knows you are rich. Who can resist a rich person in life well knowing the benefits of being in such a relationship? However, once such riches evaporate, it is when the true colours of a spouse, partner or employee emerge.

Imagine persons like Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Bernard Arnault, Mark Zuckerberg, Strive Masiyiwa, Patrice Motsepe or Aliko Dangote saying ‘I love you!’

Most would never decline the approach by these rich people but when their riches vanish, you begin to see resistance or strong opposition.

Sometimes Jehovah makes us go through difficult paths so that when we get blessed, we quickly know what it means to experience pain while protecting our relationships from ruinous persons pretending to be good to us yet with destructive ideologies.

This is why men of integrity listed above always do amazing things globally.

Again, when we undergo through challenges, our spiritual eyes get opened to know most people who surround us actually don’t love us as normally assumed, but they just love what we can do for them.

This is why we should always get out of our comfort zones and remain highly successful rather than sink.

Those who believe in this True Gospel say amen!
