JOHANNESBURG – THREE lucky youngsters from Gauteng will be selected, this Saturday to go to Spain in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hone their football skills..

The trio will be selected from the best 100 players (boys and girls) to compete at the Union Stadium in Newlands, Johannesburg for the final of the 2016 Future Players Gauteng Talent Search programme.

The initiative is courtesy of the Gauteng Provincial Government and the Spanish LaLiga.

Players were identified by the Future Players Gauteng Talent Search that crossed the province earlier this year as part of the build-up to the 2016 Future Champions Gauteng International tournament in March.

The top 100 will be put through their paces, starting from 09h00, with a set of skills tests before the field is narrowed down to the final group.

The best three will be selected and earn their place to Spain in October.

Overseas, they will visit academies and spend time with top coaches at some of the biggest clubs in the world.

Previous winners of the Future Players Gauteng Talent Search, including Banyana Banyana star Refiloe Jane, have had their dreams fulfilled with trips to Brazil and England.
